The airport is roughly 10 to 17 km from the centre depending on where you measure. A shuttle bus and a slower city bus run to the city, and a private transfer costs more but goes door to door. Check current timetables and fares before you travel.
Plitvice is about 140 km away, two to two and a half hours each way. Guided day trips take 9 to 11 hours and mostly include the entrance ticket. You spend four to five hours travelling, so it is worth it for a full day, not for a half day.
Yes, guided day tours do exactly that and take 10 to 11 hours. Lake Bled is about 196 km from Zagreb, so each stop gets limited time. If Slovenia is your main goal, a night in Ljubljana is more relaxed.
No. Zagreb is an inland city. The Adriatic coast is well over 100 km away, and the coastal towns have their own tours and their own pages on our network. This site covers the city and day trips from it.
The Zagreb funicular is only 66 metres long and connects the Lower and Upper Town. The tunnel under Grič is a Second World War shelter that several walking tours include. Both are part of the most-booked city walk.
It depends on the listing. Many Plitvice tours say “with ticket” in the title, museums sell tickets only, and some day trips charge entrance fees on top. Read the “included” section of each offer before you book.
